The Local Government & Council E-Secure Payment Services Privacy Policy

There are two sections to our privacy statement, the Plain English section, and the Details section.

Our Privacy Statement in Plain English

We don't want any information about you that you don't want us to have. If you have performed a payment transaction with one of our clients, some information about you (email address, contact numbers, etc.) is necessary in order to do things like complete your transaction, but you would have to voluntarily give that information to us in order for us to have it. If we have information about you, we don't sell, rent, or share it.

Information Collection and Use

Local Government & Council E-Secure Payment Services is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Local Government & Council E-Secure Payment Services collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

 

Payment Transaction

Where relevant, personal details are verified against existing databases at client organisations. No new data is collected without prior consent. If a new (or previously unregisterd) indvidual wishes to perform a transaction via Local Government & Council E-Secure Payment Services, we require some basic contact information (like business name, contact name, address, etc). If we have trouble processing a request, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

The intended use of the information maintained in Local Government & Council E-Secure Payment Services is clearly marked.

 

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates.

Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy statement under which the information was collected.
